WDSF Open Senior I Latin – victory for Kovacs / Zsila from Hungary
Of the six finalists, who were determined over three rounds, four German couples were joined by one couple from Hungary and one from Sweden. The first two places were very clearly awarded. Hungary’s Mate Kovacs and Andrea Zsila won all the dances and thus the tournament. The German runners-up Georg Rauchhaus and Sonja Stegemann from Dortmund followed just as clearly in second place.
Carlos and Christina Ortiz García were still in fourth place in the first two dances, but were able to improve by one place from the Rumba onwards, so that in the end it was still enough for third place. The fourth and fifth places both had third, fourth and fifth places in individual dances, so it was a close result here. In the end, the Swedes James Johansson and Leila Frovik finished ahead of Marco Roswag and Chaska Huamán Bursztyn from Reutlingen. The final was completed by Christian and Anja Platz from Rostock, who were in their second WDSF final after the WDSF open Senior I Standard on this day and danced a total of 8 rounds.
