WDSF Open Rising Stars Standard – Forostianov/Tilgert win in seven-couple final

The performance density of the 54 couples in the Rising Stars Standard tournament was so high that there was a seven-couple final in which four nations were represented. In the end, it was Dmytrii Forostianov and Helene Novalee Tilgert from Bremen were able to win the tournament quite clearly despite coming second in the tango with four dances won. Sean Aranar and Ana Nualla from the Philippines were still in third place in the first dance, but managed to make up for this with first place in the Tango and confirm their second place in the overall result with second places in the other dances. Matteo Cesaretti and Emily Matthies from Leipzig also had a small outlier up and down, but finished a clear third on average. Fourth place went to Olegs Berzins and Amanda Meinarte from Latvia. After a sixth and a seventh place in the first two dances, Daniil Ketov and Viviana Koschnitzki from Braunschweig took fifth place in the remaining dances and thus also in the overall result. The other two final couples each had one dance in fifth place, two in sixth place and two in seventh place, so that the skating system had to decide the outcome. Here, Pascal Etzold and Cindy Jörgens from Berlin were just ahead of Tobias Skandov and Aleksandra Chizhik from Denmark.
