WDSF Open Rising Stars Standard – 1st and 2nd place go to Lithuania
First and second place at the WDSF Open Rising Stars Standard. While Raigardas Gedvilas and Ugne Makarskaite had the edge in the slow waltz, the tide turned in favor of their compatriots Pijus Palskys and Anna Berzina starting with the tango. Sean Aranar and Ana Nualla from the Philippines followed in third place in all dances.
Dmytrii Forostianov and Helene Novalee Tilgert (Grün-Gold-Club Bremen) also finished consistently in all five dances, emerging as the best German couple in the field. In the battle for fifth place, the Finnish Markus Kinnunen and Ellen Puotiniemi prevailed by three dances to two against the second German couple in the final – Matteo Cesaretti and Emily Matthies (Tanzsportzentrum Leipzig).
