WDSF European Championship Senior III Latin title goes to Slovakia
Seven couples represented four nations in the final round of the European Senior IIl Latin Championships. Three German couples confidently danced their way into the final. After Marc Becker/Nicole Giersbeck had already set their mark on the first day of Hessen tanzt with their victory in the Senior III Latin, they danced fully on the attack in their first European Championship final in this age group and won the first dance. With second places in the following four dances, they became vice-European champions, while the title went to last year’s European Championship runners-up Frantisek Beres/Miriam Beresova. The Finns Petri and Ulla Jarvinen defended their European Championship bronze medal from 2025.
For Oliver Brosch/Grassl, entering the new age group couldn’t have been better. They made it to the final of the national competition straight away and narrowly missed the podium with fourth place. Achim Hobl/Kerstin Hahn were happy about reaching the European Championship final in Frankfurt, improved by two places compared to the previous year and took fifth place.
The final was completed by Roberto Danero/Eleonora Cicro and Livo Alvenini/Manuela Ottavi in sixth and seventh place.
