Victory for the World Champions in Senior I Standard
When a reigning World and European Champion is in the lineup, there is a high probability that they will win the tournament. This was indeed the case at the WDSF Open Senior I Standard, where the Italian couple Stefano and Tatiana Manni clearly won all five dances. However, the German Champions, Tobias and Angelika Solymosi from Sankt Augustin, also managed to secure several top scores; they took second place in all five dances and, consequently, in the overall competition standings. Christian and Anja Platz from Rostock followed in third place, yielding only the Tango to the couple finishing fourth overall—Martin Cech and Katerina Cechova from the Czech Republic. The remaining spots in the final went to Kristof Zsolt and Daniela Paul from Frankfurt, as well as Stefan and Liliann Hentschel from Berlin.
