Another Fireworks Display

Just over three and a half hours after the competition began, the six finalists were determined. Joining the three German couples were one couple each from Denmark, Lithuania, and China. Like the Standard final the day before, this final was also conducted as a “solo” final.

With a clean sweep of top marks, German champions Artur Balandin and Anna Salita clearly established themselves at the head of the field. The standings remained equally decisive thereafter: German vice-champions Daniel Dingis and Alessia-Allegra Gigli danced their way to second place, followed by the Danish couple Egor Kondratenko and Mie Lincke Funch.
Vitalii Zakharov and Tabea Louisa Thaler once again reached the final—just as they did last year—and ultimately finished in fourth place, ahead of Augustinas Trinkus and Beatrice Rupslaukyte from Lithuania, as well as Yang Zhen and Zhang Nan from China.
