WDSF Open Senior III Latin – Close decisions on almost all final places

This year, for the first time, a world ranking tournament for Senior III Latin took place at Hessen tanzt. The participation of 41 dancers showed that it was a good decision to include this age group in the event. The best six of them reached the final, half of them from Germany and a few each from England, Slovakia and Italy. In this field, the foreign finalists successfully held their own against the three German couples and took first to third place. However, the order was exciting right to the end. In the end, Slawek Lukawczyk and Janine-Nicole Desai from England won the tournament with just one dance and four second places. They were closely followed by Frantisek Beres and Miriam Beresova from Slovakia with two dances won, one second place and two third places. Roberto Danero and Eleonora Cicero from Italy were again only one place away in third place with three third and two winning dances.
In the German competition, Achim Hobl and Kerstin Hahn from Kitzingen prevailed and took fourth place. The two Hessian couples, who have often fought a close duel, followed in fifth and sixth place with the same number of places. In the end, Jörg and Alexandra Heberer from Walldorf were just ahead of René and Martina Klatt from Frankfurt.
