Two couples fought a duel for the competition victory at the WDSF Open Senior I Latin. However, this was already decided after the Paso Doble. After winning three dances, James Johansson and Leila Frovik from Sweden had an unassailable lead. Romain Gostanian and Evelyne Taccia from France were no longer helped by the fact that they also won the Jive after the Rumba. In third place came Steve Hädicke and Antonia Adam, a German couple who were in fifth place after the first dance, but then came third in all the remaining dances. The Bulgarians Milcho Petrov and Desislava Yovelinova did the opposite. Starting in third place after the samba, they dropped down the rankings with two fourths, a fifth and finally a sixth place in the jive to such an extent that in the end they were only just close ahead of Santiago Calvo Plana and Anna Pershina from Spain, who showed a more consistent performance with fourth and fifth places in all dances. However, they shared fifth place in the Cha-Cha with the second German finalists Thomas Lennefer and Rosina Witzsche, who came sixth in all other dances and thus also in the overall result.
