The last final of this year’s “Hessen tanzt” was the WDSF Open Senior II competition. Here, the reigning European champions Tomas Rimkus and Nerija Surblyte from Lithuania clearly won all five dances. Places two to four were also awarded equally in all dances. Latvians Gatis Simsons and Julija Simsone took second place ahead of Frenchmen Lionel Lepreux and Charlotte Milleville, followed by a couple from the Czech Republic, Petr Kiesel and Alice Pokorna. Only the two German finalists in fifth and sixth place swapped places after the slow waltz. In the end, this meant fifth place for Pascal Buchtmann and Martina Bruhns (TSA d. 1. SC Norderstedt) and sixth place for Fabian Lohauß and Simone Braunschweig (Askania – TSC Berlin).
