Due to various delays, the final of the WDSF Open Senior IV Standard could not take place until shortly before 1am. Despite the late – or rather early – time, the finalists still showed impressive performances. The victory in all dances went to Dr Michael and Regina Groß. Desiderio Camerotto and Marisa Coral from Albania took second place, losing only the Slowfox to Alessandro Barbone and Patrizia Flamini from Italy.
The latter performed very differently in the dances (fourth place in Slow Waltz, third place in Tango and Quickstep, fifth place in Viennese Waltz and second place in Slowfox), so that in the end they were only three places ahead of Alfons and Beatrix Schwake from Germany (two third places, two fifth places, one fourth place). The order of the last two couples had to be decided by the skating system, as both had place numbers 26. In the end, Dirk Keller and Heidemarie Schulz-Brüsewitz were just ahead of Alexander and Anne-Gabriele Beaumont (both from Germany).
