Attention! A fake account with the name hessen.tanzt was apparently created yesterday, from which numerous friend requests were also sent. The fake page is currently recognizable by the fact that apart from the logo and a background image, no real information is stored there (although this may change of course).
Please reject friend requests from this site or – if already accepted – withdraw them again.
There is no separate account for Hessen Tanzt, only a Facebook page that you can follow, but which does not send any friend requests.
The fake profile also links to an Instagram account called “hessen.tanzt”, which is also fake (the real one is “hessentanzt”).
We are working on having the fake account blocked as quickly as possible.
Fake accounts or fake pages for major dance sport events have been popping up more and more recently. It is generally advisable to check whether the page is genuine before accepting a friend request. In particular, almost empty pages/profiles are usually an indication that it is a fake page.
